Teenagers can get a part-time job the year they turn 15.

Non-educational requirements and other rules

• Athletic
• the sim must reach the position of Assistant Coach (level 8) by age 40 or find new work
• Criminal
• getting fired means a sentence in prison
• levels 1-3: from 6 months to 1 year
• levels 4-5: 3 years
• levels 6-9: 5 years
• level 10: 10 years
• Military
• the sim must reach the position of Senior Officer (level 7) by age 45 or find new work
• Sims who retire from the Military with 20 years of service receive a pension.
