Ashley Madden is a 30 year old hardworking chef who has a complicated relationship with her parents, John and Linda. Her mother is constantly criticizing her appearance, career, and love life. She is a neat freak who lives alone in downtown Arlington and she likes it that way. She's been struggling to find Mr. Right for years now and is on the verge of giving up. She dreams of owning her own catering company someday and has been dabbling in catering small parties. Her next catering job, the biggest one yet, is quickly approaching - the Halloween ball thrown by the Winthrop family. She is stressing out because she knows this could end her career and future in Arlington if it doesn't turn out perfect. Will she be able to handle the heat or will she need to get out of the kitchen?
